Trout de Mayo Terms & Conditions for all anglers

Terms and Conditions

By registering for and participating in the Trout de Mayo Charity Fishing Tournament (the "Tournament"), all participants ("Anglers") and teams agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Team Composition

Each team must consist of no more than five (5) anglers.

Teams with more than five anglers will be disqualified from the competition.

2. Check-In Requirement

All teams are required to check in at their assigned check-in location on the morning of the Tournament prior to start.

Check-in times and locations will be provided prior to the event.

Failure to check in will result in disqualification.

3. Fish Submission & Judging

Each team may submit a maximum of three (3) speckled trout for official judging (the “3-fish bag”).

All fish must be presented at the designated measuring and judging area no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on the day of the Tournament.

Fish submitted after the deadline will not be accepted or scored.

4. Weather Policy

The Tournament will be held rain or shine.

In the event of extreme or hazardous weather conditions, tournament officials reserve the right to delay, shorten, suspend, or cancel the event for safety reasons.

5. General Conduct

All participants must comply with Mississippi state fishing regulations and practice good sportsmanship at all times.

Any violation of Tournament rules or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification.

6. Charity and Volunteer Notice

Trout de Mayo is a nonprofit, volunteer-run event. All proceeds benefit a designated charitable organization.

No person involved in organizing or executing the Tournament is compensated for their participation.

7. Liability Waiver

By participating in the Tournament, anglers acknowledge and assume all risks associated with boating and fishing activities.

The Tournament organizers, sponsors, and affiliated volunteers are not responsible for any injuries, loss, or damage sustained during the event.

By participating, all team members agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
