The day of the Trout de Mayo Tournament

Vessel Check In

All vessels competing will be required to check in the morning of the event at the designated check in vessel anchored north of the entrance to the Bay St. Louis harbor and remain in the start area (between the harbor and Hwy 90) until the 7 a.m. shotgun start.

This is to ensure each vessel has the correct number of anglers and all vessels start in the same place at the same time.

Simply idle up, let us know your team name, and wait for the thumbs up. The check in vessel will be available on VHF ch. 68.

Finish Schedule

Trout de Mayo will take place on Saturday, May 1st, 2027.

10:30 a.m. - Measuring Tables Open

12:00 p.m. noon - Measuring Tables Close

(those in line will be allowed to finish)

12:30 p.m. - Awards and prizes presented

Anglers may use the designated day dock drop-off area to let off a team member. Please do not tie up or linger in the area, and keep it clear so other teams can drop off efficiently.

Submitting your trout for measure

Proceed to the first available measuring table.

Lay your 3-trout stringer out on the three provided measuring boards and place your team's judging card alongside.

Wait for a judge to record your 3-trout stringer size, document the measure with a photo, and confirm your submission is recorded.

Leave the area with your fish - cleaning tables are available near by.
